The longer stories and articles Doris wrote are shown below: follow the links for the original manuscript, its transcription, publication submission correspondence and final published form if available. These comprise a range of formal short stories, and essays that she wrote. They are a mix of published and unpublished work, but they present a different perspective, perhaps not anticipated if you are only familiar with her Yorkshire Evening Post "Seeing the Funny Side" style articles.
For the formally published items, the identified details of the publication are listed. Where Doris's original cuttings of the article from the newspaper or magazine were available these are also shown. Where possible I have tried to locate images (For example in the British Newspaper Archive - all such images are credited to the the appropriate archive and the original source) to show the article in its final published form and context. Though ultimately I intend to replace these archive images with my own photographs as I am able to gain physical access to the original published documents.
In the future I intend to order and structure this bibliography, the display data, and links in a more logical manner, but for now they are as they are - the order I have transcribed them in:
